Designed for the more serious, experienced/professional customer, this is a preferred choice for Atom and Immersive audio applications. The SM-8 features an 8" woofer, 4" midrange driver, and 1" aluminum-dome tweeter. The speaker features user-definable DSP parameters that allow for each speaker to be fully calibrated in its environment.
The DSP offers 8 bands of EQ, delay, and trim controls. Users can set different calibration profiles, allowing for placement in different rooms, and tuning to different targets. Tweeter 1" coaxial aluminum-dome tweeter.
Specialized geometry that reduces high-Q, ultrasonic resonances, eliminating the harsh sound that can plague metal-dome design. Smooth frequency response with less fatigue than traditional metal domes. Woofer Shorting rings to reduce flux modulation.
Optimized design for high linearity and low distortion. Boundary EQ Settings Boundary EQ offers presets that are tailored to eight common speaker placements. LF/HF trims for fine-tuning the speaker's response.
