Now, they're coming back—in a second generation filled with upgrades. Meet the Drop BMR1 V2 Nearfield Monitors: the big sound your desk has been missing, in a footprint that's anything but. Retaining the small-but-mighty wide-bandwidth drivers found on the original—which leverage Balanced Mode Radiation (BMR) to deliver powerful, full-range audio in a compact form factor—the BMR1 V2 makes marked improvements in overall operation.
Most crucially, it runs about 25% cooler than its predecessor, taking the heat off longer listening sessions. Updated Bluetooth pairing allows for several devices to be stored at once, while an upgraded Low Power Mode now works for both Bluetooth and analog listening modes. Speaking of analog listening, a redesigned input jack provides automatic muting to stop pesky noises from plug insertion.
Add in longer cables, tighter stand tolerances, optimized LED settings, a new manual Standby Mode, and a new white colorway, and you have a set of speakers to fit in—and stand out—in any setup.
